Our Purpose
Rooted in tradition. United in purpose. Committed to service.
Our mission is to eliminate health and educational disparities affecting African Americans and Africans throughout the Diaspora by championing sickle cell awareness, preventive health education, and equitable access to STEM education for children and families.
The Al Mahdi Shriners represent a continuation of ancient fraternal traditions, rooted in the teachings of Dr. Malachi Z. York and the principles of Freemasonry. We are committed to personal development and community service.

Health Equity
We are committed to advancing health awareness across the African Diaspora, with a focus on sickle cell education, preventive care, and empowering families with life-saving knowledge. Through culturally grounded outreach, we help communities make informed decisions that lead to longer, healthier lives.

Educational Access
We expand access to STEM education, mentorship, and academic pathways for youth and families. By connecting knowledge with opportunity, we equip the next generation with the tools, exposure, and confidence needed to lead, innovate, and succeed.

Community Empowerment
Rooted in brotherhood and service, we partner with families, schools, and healthcare leaders to create lasting impact. Our work strengthens communities by building support systems, increasing opportunity, and fostering leadership across generations.
